Engineering is the use of science and mathematics to solve problems. Although scientists and designers have come up with incredible ideas, engineers have applied these inventions to the real world. Welding Engineering is a complex engineering field that requires a thorough understanding of many areas of engineering. Welding Engineer students begin their welding engineering education after successfully completing their first required engineering courses. Materials science is an interdisciplinary field concerned with the understanding and application of the properties of matter.
